It is my pleasure to invite you to the 553rd Plenary Session of the European Economic and Social Committee.
On Wednesday, 15 July, we will discuss the priorities of the German EU Presidency, with the (virtual) participation of Peter ALTMAIER, Federal Minister of Economics and Energy.
On Thursday, 16 July, we will hold two debates:
- on solidarity, peace and security during the challenging times of recovery from the pandemic with Margaritis SCHINAS, Vice-President of the European Commission, responsible for migration and promotion of the European way of life;
- on how to ensure a sustainable, even, inclusive and fair recovery for all, by the implementation of Next Generation EU – a new instrument, embedded within a powerful, modern and revamped long-term EU budget, with Paolo GENTILONI, European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, Taxation and Customs Union.
In consideration of the current state of affairs regarding the Covid-19 pandemic and the concerns for public health, I would like to invite you to participate in the Plenary Session via webstreaming.
