Millennium Development Goals: input from civil society

The European Economic and Social Committee and the European Commission  are jointly organising a public hearing on "The achievements and future prospects of the Millennium Development Goals: Input from civil society". The hearing will be held at the EESC, room JDE51 on 18 December from 9.30 a.m. until 1.00 p.m.

The purpose of the hearing is twofold:

• First, it will allow the European Commission to explain the outcome of its recent public consultation on "Towards a Post-2015 Development Framework"  (http://ec.europa.eu/europeaid/how/public-consultations/towards_post-2015-development-framework_en.htm) .  
• Second, it will enable the EESC to gather stakeholder feedback on questions related to the formulation of MDGs post-2015 which is the subject of an own-initiative opinion that the Committee is currently preparing.
