On the road to a global climate protocol in 2015

16/09/2016

International negotiations under the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action are aiming at a new global climate protocol by 2015. Parties are getting ready for COP 19 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Warsaw.

Civil society needs a forum for public debate on future international climate change policies. Therefore, the Sustainable Development Observatory of the European Economic and Social Committee organises a public hearing  On the Road to a Global Climate Agreement in 2015 on 4 September 2013, 9.30 to 13.00 in Brussels. You are kindly invited to participate in this event.

The European Commission will present conclusions from its stakeholder consultation on the 2015 climate change agreement, and governance models for global climate policy and the role of civil society actors therein will be discussed. The hearing will be an opportunity to enhance dialogue with different parts of organised civil society on climate policies.

Venue: EESC, Jacques Delors building, rue Belliardstraat 99 - 1040 Brussels. Map
