The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and the Brazilian Council for Economic and Social Development (CDES) will be holding their seventh meeting of the European Union – Brazil Civil Society Round Table in Brussels, Belgium, on 22-23 January 2013.
On the occasion of his official visit to Portugal this 11 January, Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament, paid a special visit to the Association CAIS in presence of Carlos Pereira Martins, Group III and Portuguese EESC.
The Association is active against poverty and social exclusion and is a winner of the 2012 EESC Civil Society Prize
On 22 and 23 January, two days of workshops were held at the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels as part of the EUROsociAL II programme. The event brought together specialists in online cooperation from the Economic and Social Councils of the Council for Economic and Social Development (CDES) of Brazil, the Economic and Social Council (CES) of Spain and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).
